Finlay de Vale is a Scottish Jazz/Soul/R&B musician who writes intimately about his experience in life, love, and loss in a queer lens. Finlay infuses vulnerability into his music, with lyrics that serve as a conduit for heartfelt storytelling and experimental ideas that paint an intricate soundscape for listeners to ruminate in. Finlay's 2024 EP Red Lining explored navigating a new reality gripping tightly to escapism, and his Albany performance will be expanding on these themes acting as a musical self portrait.
The Albany shows feature final year students performing half hour sets, with singer-songwriters, bands, electronica and cutting-edge audio-visual work.
PureGold forms part of a summer of Goldsmiths Degree Shows across the capital, including exhibitions and shows from the Departments of Art, Theatre and Performance, and Design.
Tickets for the in-person performances are available via The Albany Box Office - your entry ticket covers you for all shows that evening, with performances starting at 7.45pm each night (tickets are £10 full/£5 concs or free for Goldsmiths students and staff)
